In the sixties, Nelson Bleak and Bill Orr were the owners of the Chevron Station in the center of Pioche. It was always a very busy gas and service station. Bill was the manager while Nelson followed his livelihood as a building contractor, building many houses in the county. Their sons, Mike Orr and Lorell Bleak, worked at the station during the summers. Since that time, ownership of what would become Tillies changed hands many times with Mike Fogliani running the business for a time before selling to Ed Wright. Ed and his family gave Tillies its name and ran the business for over 30 years, building it into a centerpiece of the Pioche community.
After all those years and changes, Tillies has grown into a convenience/grocery store and check-in for overnight cabins along with providing gasoline and diesel fuel. Collin and Jared Bleak now own the business – both sons of Lorell and grandsons of Nelson.
The mission of Tillies, similar to what it has always been, is to serve the people of Pioche and Lincoln County by providing necessary items, foods and beverages for community members and travelers as well as fuel and overnight accommodations. Collin and Jared and their families genuinely appreciate the support of friends, neighbors and customers and hope to continue to serve you well into the future.

Lincoln County tourism board says it best…
“Much in contrast to its colorful past, Pioche today attracts new residents with its friendly, picturesque hometown appeal. Pioche is the Lincoln County seat, the courthouse a prominent fixture of the town. With full amenities, Pioche offers good food, lodging, shopping, automotive and emergency services. The town’s recreation center includes park and picnic facilities, a swimming pool and a baseball diamond. A nine-hole golf course is also open for the avid golfer.
